HHS developed Healthy People 2020 by way of a collaborative process that drew on expertise and input throughout a number of Federal businesses, state and native governments, academia, business, neighborhood and skilled organizations, and members of the public. In order to ensure a strong system of monitoring and analysis in addition to government transparency and accountability, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation has designed a Health System Tracking Project. The Health System Tracking Project is a dynamic, web-based tool that shows knowledge on key health indicators, compiled from across federal sources, along with descriptions of the measures and links to information sources. Good metrics will allow policymakers, suppliers and the public to observe changes in well being care quality, cost and access and enable them to understand the consequences of these modifications across the well being care system.
